Scholarship Award Rules
Subject in each case to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules (“Rules”), CharmsToTreasure.com ("Business") will award one scholarship each year in the amount of $500 U.S. dollars (timed to coincide with the beginning of a typical university Fall semester).
Eligibility
Legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen years of age or older at the time of applying and who are currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning (college or university) are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Any employees and affiliates of Business and members of their immediate families, and persons residing at the same address, are not eligible to apply for the scholarship. Void where prohibited by law. Do not submit an application if you do not agree to the terms and conditions of these Rules.
How to Apply for the Scholarship
Applicants will submit all contact information (name, email, etc.) and a link to their self-produced video (must be owned by applicant) to our scholarship coordinator via the Google form linked to above. The video must be created by the applicant and must be 100% original and free of copyrighted or trademarked content. Limit of one application per person. All applications, including all content, become the property of Business and will not be returned. The content included in applications may be used in marketing materials or posted on the Business website without further compensation or notice to the applicant. In no event shall Business be liable for any potential recipient notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received for any reason. By submitting an application, you fully and unconditionally accept and agree to these Rules and the decisions of Business, which are final and binding.
Process of Selection for Potential Scholarship Winners
Business is seeking eligible applicants who can clearly and concisely address the topic in a creative way. Business will select one potential winner based on the criteria of creativity, ability, originality, and applicability of any content submitted. A committee comprised of members of Business’s management team will select potential recipients. The potential winner will be obligated to supply proof of enrollment in the college or university indicated in the application before any award is given. The potential winner will be notified via private message through social media or email. Business will not be liable for any potential recipient notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the potential recipient for any reason.
Payment of Scholarship Award
The selected winner will receive a Scholarship Award in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500). Each Scholarship Award will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited post-secondary institution of higher education attended by the Award Recipient (once the Scholarship Award Recipient has enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to Business). Award Recipients must submit proof of enrollment for the current semester. Scholarship Awards may not be assigned, transferred, or changed, except at the sole discretion of Business. No cash equivalent Scholarship Awards will be awarded. The awarding of any Scholarship Award is contingent upon full compliance with these Rules. Applicants agree to be bound by Rules and agree that if any Scholarship Award Recipient fails to respond to electronic communication within ten (10) calendar days, provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required affidavit, refuses to complete and provide any requested tax forms (including IRS W-9 form), is found to have violated the Rules, or does not meet eligibility criteria, Scholarship Award will be forfeited and the Applicant who submitted the Application with the next highest score will become an alternate potential Scholarship Award Recipient. Applicants understand that Business is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Scholarship Program and acceptance, possession, and use of Scholarship Award. Business is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Scholarship Program, or in the announcement of the Scholarship Award. Taxes on Scholarship Awards are the sole responsibility of Scholarship Award Recipients. Scholarship Award Recipients will be issued 1099 tax forms.
